In mid-Autumn, on the 8 th month of the lunar calendar, the 15 th day is the day the moon is the brightest. Yet, it remains rather unknown in France. Taishan Shadow Puppetry performances where the skillful puppeteer from China demonstrates the controlling of shadow puppets, singing and playing percussion instruments all at the same time. Classic Xiqu excerpts performed by “Little Plum Blossom” artists, which is the highest accolade given to young Xiqu performers below the age of 14 in China.
